The Music Connection library contains the best music ever recorded. Whatever the musical tastes of your invited family and guests may be... We fit the music to your needs. Favorites of the Big Band era, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90',s top 40, rock, hip-hop, dance and pop artists, as well as the most popular country artists of yesterday and today. Our music hosts dress in formal attire and are professionally trained, experience-proven disc jockeys. Combined, they have emceed over 1500 local events and wedding receptions in the greater Quad Cities area. They know how to present the music and direct the special announcements and fun events that will take place during your wedding reception.
We use only professional compact disc digital audio mobile sound equipment and digital Media players - no home stereo systems and no computers. We play your requests and keep the music volume equalized. Your free basic light show can be upgraded with special effects lighting, bubbles, fog, mirror balls and more. Upgrading will help fill the dance floor with a festive atmosphere when the reception hall house lights are dimmed during the later hours at your reception. We can be as formal as needed or casual as requested. We will meet with you prior to your wedding date to ensure your reception is a success!

We fit the music to your needs! Music Connection is a full time mobile DJ service available six days week in our store to answer your phone calls. Or, you can visit us in person at 1414 west Locust street in Davenport, next to Happy Joes. Feel free to stop by and speak with us about your upcoming event! Music Connection offers experienced and entertaining music hosts with over 20 years experience. Professional equipment and a huge selection of music top our DJ service. All music is mixed live, no laptop presets! So playing requests is NO problem! We have wireless microphone for toasts and make sure the music and speaking volume is never excessive. Music Connection offers special lighting effects and video projector with upgrades available. Our DJ's dress in full tuxedo or as casual as you like and will travel up to 20 miles at no cost, and up to 50 miles with a travel fee to your special event. We are an insured DJ Service (some halls require that the DJs are insured). Music Connection is the Official DJ Service for the Student Hunger Drive and we're looking forward to being your "official" DJ Service, too!

Q. Will the DJ work with the other reception services?
A. The DJ will coordinate at the event with the reception hall, photographer/videographer, and wedding planner to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Q. How will our DJ be dressed at our reception?
A. Our DJ's will be dressed in a Tuxedo at your reception, unless you would like the DJ to be dressed more casual(shirt & tie, polo, etc).
Q. Will the DJ take any breaks at our reception?
A. Our DJ's do not take breaks at your event
Q. Will our DJ introduce the Wedding Party?
A. Yes we will formally introduce the Bridal Party, as well as MC your entire reception.
Q. Will you meet with us prior to our reception?
A. Yes we will have a sit-down meeting with you at our store, or we can do it by phone if necessary.
Q. Does the Music Connection provide any services other than music entertainment?
A. Additional services we offer as add-ons(with an additional discounted fee)include: lighting upgrades, video projectors, mood lighting.
Q. Does the Music Connection charge a travel fee?
A. We will travel up to 20 miles at no charge, there will be a travel fee beyond 20 miles. All travel fees go directly to the DJ.
Q. Do your DJ's take requests?
A. Yes we do take appropriate wedding reception requests.
Q. How many DJs will the Music Connection be sending to my reception?
A. Generally we send one DJ to your reception. Although we may send an apprentice with the DJ.
Q. Will our DJ be consuming alcohol at our reception?
A. No, our DJs will not consume any alcohol at your reception.
Q. Will the DJ be eating dinner with our guests?
A. No, unless specifically invited to by the Bride and Groom.
Q. Will the DJ be overbearing with their interaction throughout the night?
A. The level of DJ interaction will be up to the Bride and Groom.
Q. Does the Music Connection have backup equipment?
A. Yes the Music Connection has several backup systems.
Q. How often can we call about concerns with our reception?
A. As many times needed, the Music Connection is a full time Mobile DJ service. You can call us anytime during our store hours.
Q. When will the DJ set up the equipment for our reception?
A. The DJ will do the Set-up before any of your guests arrive for your reception.
Q. When is my final payment due?
A. The final payment is not due until the end of your reception.
Q. Will my personal information about my reception be kept private?
A. The Music Connection will never give out any of your personal information(Phone number, address, emails).
Q. Should we tip the DJ?
A. Tipping is at your discretion, and any tip given to the DJ will be kept in full by the DJ.
Q. How many clients has the Music Connection provided entertainment for?
A. The Music Connection has been in business for over 18 years and we have performed over 1500 events during that time.
Q. Can we keep the DJ beyond the contracted time?
A. Yes, you can always add hours the night of your reception. The DJ's only obligation that night will be your reception.
Q. Can the Music Connection provide references?
A. Yes the Music Connection can provide references if needed.
